MangOH green: SIM card is absent (LE_SIM_ABSENT)

Hi all!
I have a mangOH green. I bought a Hologram sim, I activated it on the Hologram website, but my mangOH green doesn’t detect it:

I managed to activate the APN well:

but the sim is not detected.
Below the image of the sim installed: isn’t it right?

isn’t it EXTERNAL_SLOT1?

Instead, the embedded sim works well:

Have I to do other in order to see available Hologram sim in slot 1?

The sim card slot is using the big card
You cannot make sure all the contact is connected

the slot I used isn’t the EXTERNAL_SLOT_1 one?

Yes, but it is using big card, not small card in phone

Okay, I understand. But mangOH still doesn’t detect it…

The log:

Is problem only happening on this sim card?

I haven’t other sim cards, but the embedded one seems to work… Sorry for the question, the detection of the sim should should be immediate, right? Shouldn’t I do anything on a software or fw level? Because at this point I’m starting to think that my board has some flaw.

You can try power cycle

yes I did…I don’t know why but now, when the sim is inserted, the mangOH goes in a loop…

Probably not enough current

I solved the problem of the loop by lowering and raising slot 7 of sw401. At this point I have still the same problem:

For power cycle do you mean turn off and turn on right? For this goal should I connect to the board to the electric grid? I’m powering the board by USB connection…

You should try other sim card

no…but I verified that the embedded sim works…do you agree?

No, embedded sim is inside module

okay…Does exist a way to understand if card is detected? On the datasheet I see that gpio3 of inner ring indicates it…how can I do to detect this gpio3 on the oscilloscope? Could be it a way to understand if mangoh works or not? The company for which I work doesn’t want to buy another card

You can use your sim card in mobile phone

Okay I used another SIM, but the result il always the same:

Could be a fw issure or hw issue or both? I really don’t understand

Maybe hardware problem.

you can try following AT commands:

at+cpin?
