I would like to enlarge the the available CODE space on the WP85 by repartitioning the disk to have less USER space. Where would I find documentation explaining how this could be done?

If you mean to resize the rootfs partition please follow the below steps. This was shared to me by Sierra FAE an year ago for resizing the partition.
AT!ENTERCND=“A710”
AT!APPPARTCHG=896,128,20096,384,160000,384,37888,2560,30336,1280
You can check the current parition sizes by AT!APPPARTCHG?
