I am following through with the getting started guide, and I have reached the point where my yellow is supposed to connect to the site. It hasn’t yet, even though I have rebooted it and have a sim card installed (the sim card from my Mangoh red).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Your Yellow comes with a SIM built into the module.
Please do not install external sim if you want to connect to Octave.
So do the following:
a. remove the external sim
b. Power cycle
c. Wait for around 30 mts
d. check website
e. you should see everything
f. then go update the yellow firmware available on the mangoh website.
It still hasn’t connected to the website. I powered it on and followed through the steps starting a little over three hours ago, and it wouldn’t connect. Around 2.5 hours in I attached the SIM card from my mangoh red.
I am seeing very similar results here. the tools app seems to be crashing and cm radio shows the device hooping form one network provider to another trying to register. I am in canada and see it connect to Rogers and Bell at various times with a signal strength of 5. but registration is never successful. i have had it powered with, with a battery, and an external antenna connected and selected for 3 days with no success.
there was an issue with our backend server. This has since been resolved. @alexmanak can you let community know you issue is solved? @tlistoe please me a private message with IMEI, FSN, ID and company name? I will ask the backend team to fix it.
@asyal i have another module that was purchased at the same time that we are brining online which has the same problem. I have DMd you the details you requested before for this module if you could please activate it as well?
Please help me to troubleshoot a similar problem with connecting my MangOH Yellow to Octave cloud.
The device was not used since 04.12.2019, it has an external SIM card inserted.
