I’m not sure if I should be asking this here or the Legato forums so let me know if this is not the right place.
I’m trying to send an MT SMS to my mangOH and on the sending side I can see it being sent but a few seconds later the device reboots without warning. I’m not using Sierra Wireless SIMs. There are absolutely no warnings or errors in either logread or the console so I have no idea what’s wrong. I enabled the smsInboxService, but it behaves no different with the service disabled. Any help troubleshooting this would be appreciated.
I tried an external wall adapter rated at 2.4A but the results were the same with minor improvements. I could see the SMS was received on 2 out of 10 attempts but it rebooted on the other 8 attempts. Is this a power supply issue?
I just used mangOH Red with the latest released software and Telus SIM and power up through the USB connector from my Laptop.
I sent a few SMS and received by device. There was no reboot.
If you do differently please let’s know then we can repeat the test.

I sent short texts like “testing” from my iPhone and could see the message pops up on my AT Command port as below e.g. number 7 indicates 7th received message. However it never reboots.

Thanks for taking time to try and reproduce the problem @asyal and @Habib. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my hands on a Sierra Wireless SIM to try with a different SIM card. However, I found that turning off the bluetoothUtil app seems to have a positive effect and I’m able to receive an SMS when I do that. I cannot explain this behavior. I’m using the Talon Bluetooth / WiFi card and currently only using Bluetooth on it.
