Firmware release 14 says Legato 16.10. for WP8548 but creates 17.07

I have read that WP8548 is compatible with Legato 16.10.3 and nothing newer ie Legato 17.xx. Your combined package for WPx5xx firmware release 14 indicates that it will install Legato 16.10.3, but when the app is downloaded and opened, it creates an appliance called Mangoh Dev using Legato 17.07.2 on Ubuntu 16.04. When this is installed, I can not build to the Mangoh Red because of firmware incompatibility.

How can I install the Legato 16.10.3 framework on a native Windows 64 system?

Multiple attempts at re-install have failed to get me to Legato 16.10.3

Not sure what you mean you cannot build due to firmware incompatibility.
If you follow the Getting Started Guide, you should be able to build with Legato 17.7x.

If you want to use Legato 16.10.3 only, then please goto source.sierrawireless.com for questions.

The WP team has not officially qualified the WP85 with a version of Legato that’s newer than 16.10.3, but it does work. The mangOH code targets the latest stable version of Legato not the latest version blessed by the WP team.

Yes, at this moment it will have all the latest patches etc. you need. In fact, if you are not deploying tomorrow, then maybe you should regularly update till you launch.

Hi Dan,

We are releasing a tutorial and will do a google hangout for the mobileAsset app. This app will allow you to do:
a. Location tracking: WiFi BSSID, Connected cell ID
b. Go to deep sleep and wakeup on : timer, light or accelerometer
d. Send sensor data to cloud

We built this app on WP76 with mangOH Red and also have the WiFi working.

The various components of the app are ready and posted on git. But you need to wait for next Feb release of Legato to use it.

If you have an immediate question/project issue let me know.

Thank you for your response. I will be looking for the app in Feb. What is the best way of getting it upon release?
We purchased the Mangoh Red with WP8548 on it to be able to get familiarized with developing product in anticipation of using the upcoming WP7702 for a GPS location application.
Our application will incorporate the Cat-M1 and/or 3G features in the USA ,and GSM in other parts of the world where we would also need to be able to use USSD through AT commands
Will the Mobile Asset Tracker release be compatible with the WP7702?
Is there another app that can send GPS location information to either one of these CM’s? or will we be spinning our wheels with this attempt?
Thank you in advance. Your responses have definitely cleared up some issues for me already. We are open to hear as much input as you are willing to share.
