We are laying out a board for a customer using a WP76xx chip. There will be custom apps on the chip. Environment is Legato 17.11 .
UART 1 is brought out to other devices, so we can put a connector on that, using USB to RS232. Is there any other hardware or connections needed to program custom apps?
Are you asking whether you can deploy apps to the wp76 by transferring them over UART1?

Not just apps. We’ll need to re-flash Yocto with a custom build that has SFTP, plus apps.
We brought UART1 out to a header, but the board was not designed for USB/CF3 support.
