Possibility to lock application

Dear All,

Being a newbie I have the following proposed use case with MangoOH Red.

My idea is to install a Python communication application on the board.
I understand that the Yocto kernel has to be modified with Python for that.

My question is whether it is possible to lock or encrypt or so the Python application to prevent copy it for “illegal” use.

you can change the root password and limit the interfaces that permit SSH access.

So it isn’t very difficult to prevent copying.
