Flashing MT7697 via Red MangOH or LinkIt7697

I have two problems:

  1. When using the tool against the MT7697 on the Red MangOH board, the download appears to work on the preconfigured Ubuntu VM “MangOh Dev using Legato 18.09.0” or the windows version - ie the download completes OK. However, on restarting, the MT7697 does not appear to run the new code - I just get the MT7697 debug for a module with no app:

  1. When using the tool against a Linkit7697, the download works on the preconfigured Ubuntu VM “MangOh Dev using Legato 18.09.0” and the code runs fine but If I try and load the tool on a clean copy of Ubuntu (after following the instructions to compile the cp210x.ko and add to the kernel), the serial port cannot connect to the cp210 driver so the flash tool fails. The Windows version which worked when used via the Red MangOH also fails when used against Linkit7697 directly. Both of these issues appear to be driver related.

Does any one have any ideas on why MT7697 code is not running after download on RedMangOH or why MT76x7 flash tool only works against Linkit7697 via “patched” “MangOh Dev using Legato 18.09.0” VM?
