No, no, unfortunately WP7607 was chosen because we wanted a solution without Octave, cat-4, 4g lte, only this was bought and I don’t have any other hardware available
You can see here on another method
I flashed through windows the firmware release 13.1:
On VM I checked that all was fine:
![]()
The first result:

So, then I tried to modify the yocto menuconfig availabling SPI connection, CAN config. Then I flashed on the board the new yocto.cwe and I updated the file .updategreen:
the result

as said before, I think this is hardware problem as we all used the same software now.
Do you think that is it an hardware compromised or not suitable for our goals? after this last test I really don’t know what to do anymore…
I’m sorry, I know I’m bothering you a lot, but I’m in a frustrating condition. I try to give you a further summary of what I did this morning, so that you can actually tell me what I might be wrong, after which I really won’t know what to do.

I installed fw13.1 version through windows:
-
At this point I should have on the board the .spk firmare file and the two .cwe files (do you agree or am I wrong?).
I updated your mangOH layer and here there are the results:

So, at this point, I think I should modify yocto menuconfig in order to availabling SPI and CAN bus and re-flashing it on the board (am I wrong thinking to do this?)
I did it, but it seems that I cancel the fw that I flashed in the first step and the card goes in a loop.
I want to clarify that I launch the yocto-quic because it is suitable for wp76 module, so that the target and the machine are right (mdm 9x28).
What do you think I should still do? Should I still do something or give up this green mangOH?
I would honestly like to avoid buying another wp76 module and have the same problem because maybe the problem is that I did not understand something …
anyway, thank you very much for the patience you are having.
UPDATE
I’im trying to study/analyze socketcan libraries and I’m seeing that I can see vcan0 (not can0!):
what could it mean? Am I seeing the wrong things?
You can remove the CAN board and see if there is still vcan0 interface
yes, it still remains
what could be it mean?
That means not related …
ok, I understand that installing socketcan in ubuntu I see vcan0. So…can I repeat the same thing in yocto? Should I call the socketcan libfile in any makefile or am I wrong?
No idea, i never tried anything on vcan, seems that is virtual CAN

If the situation is this, in your opinion, could be an hardware problem of transceiver CAN Talon? Or could be a problem of the script can_iot.sh?
could be problem of CAN board or mangoh green board.
I still get the impression that the SPI is not active. I tried to activate it in the yocto menuconfig, but nothing,
in general, do you know how activate SPI bus?
this cannot explain why we are using same software but yours cannot activate SPI bus.
This is ubuntu question, not related mangoh board
I know, it was to try to understand if my device works or not, I would not want to buy hardware just to do trivial tests
