Reduce power consumption for MangOH Red

No. I’m not using ULPM mode. This is kernel pm suspend. Modem radio is powered off. Power is measured using OTII simulating a LiPo battery on the battery connector (MangOH Red Rev6).

how did you measure the module current?
In whole mangoh red board? or the current going into module?
Did you remove the USB cable from PC?

Whole mangOH Red board including module. No USB connected.

Then of course the current is higher than that in product technical specification.

How did you phisically measure the absorbed current?

You can you a USB current meter like this USB C Power Meter, LCD Display USB Meter DC 4-24V 5A UM25 Type C Voltage and Current Tester. There are many other methods, this is one of the easier ones. It’s not great at getting the spikes, but it will give you the total power drawn over time which is nice.

Sorry for the very trivial question, but this USB power meter must be plugged into the mangOH USB Host and measures me the dissipated power (absorbed current)? Don’t I have to use any multimeter to make such a purchase? It would be great

No, the USB power meter device plugs into a usb power source (your computer, for example). Then you power the MangOH using the normal USB power cable. It’s that simple, no multimeter required.
